Global Wind Group is taking on Manitoba’s infamous weather with wind power in the first ever ZüS™ Power Challenge. For one week in March, Global Wind Group’s Vince Ceccarelli will live in the small 8′ x 16′ cabin that is powered solely by a 1kw ZüS™ Modular Power System at the Red River Exhibition grounds in Winnipeg, MB.
Running from March 21 to 28, the ZüS™ Power Challenge demonstrates the ZüS™ wind turbine can provide sufficient power to power many of the basic conveniences of modern life including a computer with internet access, a television, fridge, and microwave.
Ceccarelli will be living in the cabin, cooking, exercising, reading and sharing his experiences on the Internet via a live streaming webcam, blog, Twitter and Facebook. Plus you never know who might stop by for a visit to see this groundbreaking environmental challenge at work. Ceccarelli will share the daily challenges he faces living in the cabin from the mundane to the more technical aspects such as how much power is the turbine generating at any given time. Ceccarelli will have access to existing Red River Ex bathroom facilities throughout the challenge.
